and now, let's learn how to get to the airport from Silom.
anyway, if you are a solo traveller like me, this is the best method to get to the airport, as the taxi fare is very expensive. However, if you are with friends, 2 or 3 extra members, then it is better to take a cab, as you can share the fare, which is in my opinion, will be cheaper than taking the BTS and bus.
well, anyway. From Silom, you can take either the MRT (Silom) or the BTS ( Saladeng).
Remember, MRT to Mo Chit is about 40 minutes while by BTS is around 30 minutes.
I personally prefer BTS as the trip doesn't feel long and boring.
anyway, from Saladeng station, buy the ticket to Mo Chit, the fare is only 42 bht.
take the platform 4 to National Stadium.
then, remember to get off at the Siam Station.
and right in front of you, which is platform 2, is the skytrain to Mo Chit. So convenient right?
take that skytrain (don't bother searching for the platform, because it is just in front of you as you got out from your train from Saladeng)
when you arrive at Mo Chit, which is the last stop.
take the exit 3.
and as you can see... there are lots of buses there.
Take the A1 bus that will go directly to Don Mueang airport.
and around 15 to 20 minutes, you have reached the airport.
and time to say bye bye to the ever wonderful Bangkok..

and remember, the trip from Silom to Don Mueang is about 1 hour.. so plan carefully so that you can catch your flight in time.
